The music festival season has officially started and bursting into the scene. This year, the musical agenda of Costa Dorada has expanded to the point of having options for all tastes, from pop, rock, latin, electronic, to jazz, among many other styles. We want to share with you the musical proposals that you can’t miss, so that you can make the most out of this summer.

El Jardí Sonor 

From the 15th of June to the 10th of September, you will be able to enjoy the 6th edition of the Jardí Sonor, a series of musical performances, in locations carefully selected to create memorable experiences. Some of the venues chosen are the Parc Samà in Cambrils, the Colony Forum, the City Walls and the Roman Amphitheatre of Tarragona.   

This event features great artists, but we will only reveal some of them. We start with a duo that will not leave you indifferent: Alba Carmona and Jesús Guerrero. She will captivate you with her deep and versatile voice, while he is one of the most important personalities of the current flamenco guitar. You can't miss Guillem Roma’s songs either, who will take you on a trip from the Mediterranean Sea to the Caribbean Sea, with a more modern version of “boleros”. In addition, at this festival you will be able to enjoy artisanal and organic products, Km 0 food and art exhibitions. 

Nomad Festival 

The Nomad Festival is a sustainable, open-air event that aims to promote emerging artists and designers in the area, and where you'll also find food trucks, markets, concerts and magic, among a myriad of other activities. We've also thought about something for the little ones at home, with the Petit Nomad, a space dedicated to children, with activities to keep them entertained, such as workshops, storytelling, face painting, games and much more.    

This year there are 2 editions, in different locations on Costa Dorada. The first one will take place in Torredembarra, at Cal Bofill, from the 24th to the 28th of July; and the second one will be in La Canonja, from the 2nd to the 18th of August, at the Hotel Mas La Boella, an oasis in the middle of nature. Both locations offer an ideal plan to enjoy with friends and family. Are you in?  

Candlelight Open Air 

Candlelight Open Air is a sensory experience. It is a candlelight concert, on an open-air stage, all wrapped in the melody of specially chosen instruments for each performance. On the 26th of July, let yourself be delighted by the Tarraco Quartet, a string quartet from the area that will captivate us with their tribute to Coldplay, the British rock band known all over the world. 

It will be a tribute to their most iconic songs that you have surely heard at some point, such as "Viva La Vida", "A Sky Full Of Stars", "Don't Panic", "Yellow" and "In My Place", among many more that you will be able to enjoy if you decide to attend.   

The location of this magical and unconventional setting will be the Hotel Mas La Boella in La Canonja, Tarragona. 

Cambrils International Music Festival (FIMC)    

The International Music Festival, one of the most important summer events on Costa Dorada, has been held in Cambrils for 49 editions. You will be able to enjoy it from the 1st to the 10th of August, where you will find a different concert every day. Among the singers and groups who will be performing there’s the Balkan Paradise Orchestra, Andrea Motis, Las Karamba and Rodrigo Cuevas. This year, a new format has been introduced, with a varied programme of different musical genres, from folk to latin rhythms, rock, jazz, flamenco and, of course, pop. 

Some of the performances are completely free, but for others you will need to buy a ticket, so we recommend that you buy them in advance, as they have a special offer.   

Les Nits Daurades 

Every year in mid-August, the Plaza de las Comunidades Autónomas in Salou fills with life, because of the celebration of Les Nits Daurades, where music is the star attraction. The musical programme is very varied: there will be orchestras, habaneras night, music and dance shows and, of course, concerts with the participation of well-known artists. All these events conclude with the celebration of the day of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary on the 15th of August. That evening, a mass will be held in the Church of Santa Maria del Mar, in honour of the Virgin Mary, and, later, you will be able to experience the procession first-hand by land and by sea, which will end with a Great Fireworks Display in Passeig Jaume I.
