Record number of passengers on BusPlana’s regular lines in Camp de Tarragona

• 7,600,000 passengers used BusPlana’s public transport services in Camp de Tarragona in 2024, 16% increase from the previous year
• 53% increase in passengers using BusPlana to reach Camp de Tarragona Station
• The rise in tourism, the reduction in prices, increased mobility and the fleet renewal have been the main drivers of this growth

BusPlana reached an all-time record in passenger numbers on its Camp de Tarragona routes in 2024.

A total of 7,600,000 passengers have travelled on BusPlana public transport services in Camp de Tarragona. This is an increase of more than 1,000,000 passengers compared to those carried in 2023.

Some of the bus lines with the greatest growth are those that link with the Camp de Tarragona station. These routes have carried 400,000 passengers, a 53% increase from 2023. In particular, the Cambrils - Salou - Camp Station route has seen an 82% increase, and the Tarragona city - Camp Station route has grown by 62%.

In addition to these services, the Tarragona - Cambrils - Cambrils Maritime District, Reus - La Pineda - Salou - Cambrils, Reus - Salou and Sarral - Valls - Tarragona routes have also experienced significant growth.

In the last two years, BusPlana has renewed 170 of the 600 coaches in its fleet, incorporating more environmentally friendly vehicles, adapted for people with limited mobility and with the latest safety technologies.
