Grup Plana expands 2 bases and reaches 100,000 m2 of own facilities

Grup Plana continues its growth trajectory and expands its surface area by more than 20,000 m2 to be able to park more vehicles, reaching the quantity of 100,000 m2 available.

The increase is due to the expansion of its bases in Reus and L'Hospitalet de l'Infant. The company has invested 5 million euros in the acquisition and construction of these areas.

Specifically, the Reus base has grown from 27,435 m2 to 44,500 m2 and has become the largest operational base in the province of Tarragona for passenger road transport. With this expansion, the Reus base will now be able to park 100 more coaches, with space for 420 coaches, including 15-metre vehicles, which are notable for their length. With this extension, there is also space for 205 more cars, for Grup Plana's VTCs and as a parking area for the company's own employees. The base also has a traffic control building, 2 car washes, a petrol station and a workshop area.

The Reus base opened in 2011 with 15,000 m2 and has been in constant growth since then to 44,500 m2.

In L'Hospitalet de l'Infant, 72 coaches can be parked (50 more than before) on 10,100 m2. There is also a mechanic's workshop, petrol station and offices.

The more than 100,000 m2 that Grup Plana already has are distributed among its bases in Reus (the largest); Tarragona (central base); Vilanova i la Geltrú, Calafell, Barcelona, L'Hospitalet de l'Infant and Montblanc.

BusPlana is already analyzing the next expansion and is considering enlarging the Barcelona base, which was inaugurated in 2022. Thanks to its strategic location near the Fira de Barcelona, it provides greater coverage and more sustainable services for congresses and corporate events.
