Everything you can do from the Camp de Tarragona Station

Facilities and Services

This building has an avant-garde design and easy access. It has 4 platforms and 8 tracks that guarantee smooth train traffic and the comfort of its users. Camp de Tarragona Station offers numerous services to ensure you have a pleasant stay at the station, such as luggage trolleys, baby changing facilities, toilets, a cafeteria and even a shop in case you need anything for your trip.

 Where you can come from

The Camp de Tarragona High Speed Railway Station has meant an important improvement for the connection of Tarragona with other Spanish cities, even with international links, as is the case of France. Every day passengers arrive from locations such as Barcelona, Figueras, Lérida and Valencia, as well as from Spanish cities further afield, such as Madrid, Seville, Malaga, Granada, Alicante and even San Sebastián.

Where to go

From the Camp de Tarragona Station you can travel to the different tourist destinations on Costa Dorada, such as Salou, Tarragona, Cambrils, La Pineda or PortAventura.

Once you arrive at your destination, you can enjoy the following essential visits to complete your holidays.

First of all, we mention Salou, known for being the tourism capital of Costa Dorada, a perfect place if you want to spend time at the beach. It's an ideal destination if you're looking to relax on the shores of the Mediterranean or experience fun water sports such as jet skiing, renting a small boat, or even kayaking or paddle surfing.

While you're in Salou, we encourage you to visit PortAventura World, a huge theme park located between the towns of Salou and Vila-seca. The complex also has its own water park in case it's a hot day, Caribe Aquatic Park, as well as Ferrari Land, a magnificent proposal for motor lovers.

Near the previous destination, you will find La Pineda, an ideal seaside town to complete your holidays, with numerous spaces that you can enjoy with the whole family. One of its main tourist attractions is its extensive beach with crystal-clear waters, more than 3 kilometres long, which, at this time of year, is the perfect place to sunbathe or cool off in the sea.

If you fancy a family outing, you have the Torre d'en Dolça park within easy reach, which will delight you with its green spaces, allowing you to do sport or simply sit down for a bite to eat surrounded by nature.

And if you want to complete your holiday experience even more, this town has one of the best-known water parks in the whole region, Aquopolis, a fantastic complex to have fun with its water attractions and swimming pools.

You can also reach Cambrils, a benchmark in the gastronomy, which highlights its seafaring origins. The town's cuisine features a wide variety of ingredients from the sea, particularly galleys, a crustacean known for its excellent flavour and used, above all, in rice dishes and soups.

If your passion is tasting delicacies, every year Cambrils prepares numerous gastronomic events, such as the romesco days; the Craft Beer Fair; the artichoke days; the Wine Festival; and the new Extra Virgin Olive Oil days

Another magnificent destination is Tarragona, a city that is surprisingly rich in culture, with monuments that take us back to roman and medieval times. Some of the places you can't miss if you decide to visit the city are its Cathedral, built in the highest part of Tarragona; the Roman Amphitheatre, where gladiator fights could be seen; or its Roman Praetorium and Circus, the latter used for horse and chariot races. Moreover, you can also buy fresh product in its central market or taste the best fish and seafood in the Serrallo quarter.

Finally, we would like to mention Reus, the home of important artists and historical figures such as Antoní Gaudí, Joan Prim and Juan Rubió i Bellver, who have enabled the town to conserve a considerable heritage of buildings and monuments worthy of a visit. One of the most significant of these is the Casa Navàs, located in Plaça del Mercadal, which is the only European building that still conserves its original interior and one of the works of the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner.

During your stay, you can also visit Antoní Gaudí's birthplace, which can be found on Carrer de Sant Vicenç, a very important residence in the architect's life, as it was the property where he spent his childhood and youth.
