BusPlana passengers from La Pineda and Salou to Reus Airport increase by 54.5%

• The majority of passengers are English and Irish tourists who come to spend their holidays on Costa Dorada, with family or friends.
• The growth in passenger numbers is partly due to the increase in expeditions.

From March to June this year, BusPlana experienced a 54.48% increase in passengers on the bus line connecting La Pineda and Salou with Reus Airport, compared to last year. Also, on the Cambrils - Salou - PortAventura - Reus Airport bus line saw an increase of 19.40% in this period.

The majority of passengers are tourists who come to spend their holidays on Costa Dorada, with family or friends. The main nationalities of tourists are English and Irish. A small percentage of local people also use these bus lines to travel to Reus Airport to start their holidays.

For BusPlana, the growth in passenger numbers is mainly due to the increase in the number of expeditions (almost 10% more expeditions during this period compared to last year), a greater awareness of the regular lines offered by the company with competitive prices, and the fact that passengers have more information available, as during the high season, Grup Plana has more than doubled its customer service team – handling around 9,500 calls and 3,000 messages each month.

BusPlana's schedules from Costa Dorada to Reus Airport are constantly adapted to the flight schedules of the different airlines, in order to offer optimal connections.

In addition to the routes from Costa Dorada to Reus Airport, Grup Plana is also the official transportation from Costa Dorada and Garraf to Barcelona Airport. Every year more than 500,000 people start their holidays on board a Plana coach.
